Beach and family fun...

We have been going to the beach a lot this break! It has been so much fun and relaxing.
Kendyll's 1st time in the water! She loves it!
Cade playing with his cousin Chaz
Teaching Lisa to stand up paddle board (SUP). Notice the vog! Ewww- so hazy
The kids and their stockings! Thanks Aunty Lynette!
Christmas dinner with the Carvalhos
Cade is very fortunate to inherit lots of toys from his older cousins. (Thanks Imadas!) He loves this little 3 wheel scooter! I'm still amazed he has the coordination to ride it!
Kendyll's first time making mochi and she fell asleep. Daddy decided to "powder" her with the katakuriko (flour)

Another day at the beach with Aunty Lori was before this, but I don't think she'd be too happy if I posted pics of her. :)
Since we've been going to the beach so much, Cade is getting used to it and decided he wanted to "surf" on his own in the little kiddie tide pool side. Notice how much clearer the background is- the vog was blown away by the tradewinds! YAY!
Making a gingerbread house with Aunty Lisa.
We are also fortunate to finally meet Uncle Brent, Aunty Lisa's bf!

More SUP this weekend too! Happy New Years!

Keeping us busy...

We don't know how the holidays snuck up on us. Last time we checked, it was still the beginning of the month, with 3 weeks to get everything done! But, I guess we weren't paying attention and have been busy doing other things. Sorry, presents and cards will be slightly delayed this year. Here's a few reasons...

A crawling/climbing baby and a talkative toddler. They had fun playing with Cade's hat

Our home renovation and building is coming along! We've been busy trying to pick out tile, paint and other fun stuff for our bathroom.

Kendyl and her funny faces. She learned to do this funny thing with her nose- she squishes it, then breathes from it, making a funny noise. Watch out- that smile is sneaky!

We contemplated getting a tree this year- with the remodel, we weren't sure it would fit! But, decided it was a good idea because it's Kendyll's 1st Christmas! Cade LOVED decorating. He put all the ornaments in the same area. After he went to sleep- Gammy reorganized the ornaments on the tree- who knew she was that picky! I didn't- apparently, she has "sections" for each category of ornaments. There's an angel section, asian section, picture section, fishy section...and you can't mix them!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving

We were lucky to spend Thanksgiving weekend on the beautiful island of Kaua'i. Three days of eating ono food, experiencing fun activities outdoors, catching up with family and making new friends... all went by too fast!
The Millard's backyard view! Cade loved feeding the fishies.
 Family pic
Meeting up with the Browns from WA! Glad we got to see them in warm weather! Wish we could've spent more time with them, but loved the time we had catching up.
Cade loved playing with Tobi and Aunty Erin!
Random pics from November: Cade loves putting pigtails or clips when Kenny has them. He he he
Kendyll trying puffs for the first time. She obviously didn't like it.

Happy 6 months Kendyll!

Our sweet little baby girl is 1/2 a year old! Boy, it's been fast. She is a healthy, easy baby. At her 6 month check up she weighed in at 16 lbs 5 oz (75%), was 28 inches long (75%) and her head was 75-90%. She is enjoying her sweet potato (purple), carrots, and green beans. She has discovered how to semi crawl and go back to a sitting position. She's very curious and amazed by Cade and his toys, therefore is finding her way towards them- something Cade is adjusting to!
Kula Pumpkin farm- what a view!

Cade playing with his stickers and the pumpkin bag for his friend.

Seattle Trip Part 2

After a few days in Vegas, we headed back to Seattle for the last leg of our trip. It was a little strange to be visitors to a place we had lived for a few years- knowing where to go and eat and not really getting lost! But, it made it easier to plan and do things with the two little ones.
We visited a pumpkin patch that was near our old house in Fife. Cade really needed to stretch his legs out- he ran around that small little farm like a wild man!

Same pumpkin farm, two years later. Now with two of our own pumpkins!

Kenny looking a little scared of Uncle Kyle! Crazy man!
We were curious to see how Cade would react to Kyle- see if he would remember him at all. Not sure how much he remembered him, but you could definitely tell he was thinking of why he looked and sounded familiar.
All the kids! When we all first met, there was only Matt and Rylee- who were about 3 and 2 years old! Look at how our WA family has grown.
Can't forget the group pic! Thanks everyone for a great night of hanging out and catching up.
Cousins sleeping
We were also able to see some of my old coworker friends, Heather, Abbie and Cyrus! Oh how I miss FW! Sorry Jean, we didn't get a pic!
Kenny though Cyrus was hilarious!

Passed out on the airplane back to Hawaii.
