Mele Kalikimaka...

So hard to believe Christmas 2012 is over already! That means I'm back to school soon! :(

Alright, enough about me...

The Millards visited! We got to meet fabulously cute and adorable baby Levi! As everyone has commented about his cheeks on facebook, THEY ARE so squeezably squishy!

Christmas was different this year because the kids were much more aware of Santa.

I'm still learning how to use our camera properly, so sorry, the christmas tree lights are SO BRIGHT!

Kenny is our little model- this is the pose she struck when we said to "model". Oh boy...

Their letter to Santa: they were both "a little bit good" this year

Oh Sporty... such a cooperative dog

Cade wasn't sure what to think of Santa's footprints at the door. He kept reminding me the night before to leave the door unlocked.

Cade had to show Kenny, who was unsure herself too.  But then she peeked into the tent to the right...

her BICYCLE! It was LOVE at first sight!

While the kids unwrapped presents, Sporty found a friend who rubs tummies! Oh gosh... he is smitten!

She didn't want to open her presents because she was practicing riding her bike all over. Thankfully, she didn't hit any walls!

Cade is a good present opener. Posed for a picture with all of them!

Sporty enjoyed the attention while the kids continued to open presents.

Of course it wasn't all happy times... Kenny was grumpy and mad about something Cade told her

Family pic!

We've been trying to teach mom to use the camera better: focusing and centering. As I was downloading the pictures onto the computer, I had to laugh at how uncentered her pics were! :)

Check out Aunty Lisa! :)

Was she trying to get Sporty only!? :)

While Lisa visited, we made our rounds at her favorite food places.

Shave ice, chow fun, mochiko chicken and furikake french fries all at Ululani's in Kihei! SO DELICIOUS!

Aunty Lisa enjoying playing with the kids!

Weekend staycation...

When we asked Cade what he wanted this year for Christmas, he said "I want to go to Disney World!" Well, that wasn't going to happen, so we asked him what his #2 item was and he said to "stay at the pirate ship hotel!"
So, after some debating, we decided to splurge and spend the night at one of our favorite hotels: The Westin Kaanapali Ocean Resort Villas (KOR). It ended up being Cade, Aunty Lisa, and Gammy's present all in one! (Whoo hoo for not having to wrap it!)

We invited the cousins over to swim with us (Cade was being anti social)

Cade didn't waste anytime! He was a "fish" the entire time we were there!
\

Kenny isn't as water loving as her brother, so hung on to Daddy

Kenny enjoying her virgin lava flow that Daddy spoiled her with!

Aunty Lisa enjoyed the time on the balcony by reading

We stayed in a two bedroom so Aunty Lisa and Gammy had their own privacy

Back to the pool the 2nd day!

Enjoyed shopping and lunch at the Whaler's Village. We hardly go out that side, so we enjoyed playing tourist!

Happy December!

Aunty Lisa has gently reminded me that the blog hasn't been updated for more than a month... and that when she comes home she plans to update it herself! :)

Sorry, as always, things are hectic. With the holidays sneaking up on us, school/teacher contract woes, and 2nd Quarter finishing... whew... sorry blog, you're last on the list. :)

We flew over to Oahu the later half of Thanksgiving break.

Cade had fun playing with Jake! We had fun meeting new sister! :)

The kids and great grandparents

It's nice that both Cade and Kenny have access to "free" Santas! :) He actually smiled with this Santa!

Kenny doesn't seem too thrilled, but at least she's not screaming!

Cade's teacher dressed him up as Rudolph on his last day of school! SOOOO CUTE!

We initially decided we weren't going to take professional pictures for our cards this year, so I was content taking my own. But, long story short, I called the photographer (Kristy Copperfield) and she had one spot left in her "mini session". It was meant to be. :)

The kids had naps before the photoshoot and it helped! They were in such good moods and so photogenic!

I think this would've been our Holiday card if I hadn't already made them.

Happy Holidays everyone! May you enjoy the time with loved ones and hug them just a little more this season! Cade and Kendyll can't wait for their "gingerbread making" Aunty Lisa to join us!

Whoa...it's November!

Oops- I kept meaning to post in October, but every time I looked at our pics, there seemed like there wasn't anything interesting to share!

For some strange reason, October is one of our hottest months. Temperature rises and the trade winds disappear for a few days- or up to weeks, and we get very little rainfall. We know it's hot when we're suffering in the usually cool Upcountry area. Garrett decided to make his own little slip-n-slide one afternoon.

Kenny wasn't too interested, so Garrett had to grab her!

Cade loved it!

Notice Kenny in the background hiding behind Gammy!

Cade is getting ready for T-ball! We just signed him up, so the season should be starting soon!

The photogenic one.

We found a Bumblebee costume at Ross for $10- a little big, but he was happy! Good thing we didn't spend a lot of money- he didn't keep it on for very long

Beach day with the cousins

Watch out for the wave! Cade loves jumping over waves now. He was in the water all day! Kenny- not so much; she hung out in the tent.

We decided to paint our pumpkins this year. (Garrett and I were actually too lazy to carve them!)

Can you tell he's a little grumpy?

That's their "mean" faces! GRRRRRRR!

Daddy's zucchini from the garden! Again, their silly mean faces

The local college had a fundraiser where the little kids could go sit in all the big trucks. Can you tell who is grumpy again?!

Told Cade he was grumpy so he should go sit in the back of the police car

Kenny had fun!
