Happy Father's Day!

The kids with Garrett and the presents they gave. I LOVE that they make their own cards in school!

We spent the rest of Father's Day at the beach with the Yamada family. Garrett surfed and we hung out on the beach all day! Very relaxing!
Cade has become our water baby- he eagerly wants to go on the boards with us and now has his own paddle!

Kenny is very content to just hang out on the beach... far away from the water!

Good start to summer... sorta!

Summer has OFFICIALLY begun here! So relaxing... sorta! Unfortunately the whole clan has a viral bug we're all battling to some degree... so it hasn't been the GREATEST start, but it'll get better!

Right before school ended, we had fun at Lindsey and Courtney's grad party!

Yamada, Miyamoto, Poche, Pulido cousins

The Yamada cousins! So grown up! I thought it would be fun to see the last time we were all together...

I think this is it... June 2008 in WA. Yep, that's one big momma on the right, all swollen! (it's Cade in case anyone is wondering)

 Back to the grad party...
The next generation! Those kolohe (rascal) smiles!

Riding the Uncle Glenn horsey! Kendyll initially got on, but then decided she didn't like being that close to Uncle! ha ha ha

The three musketeers had fun watching Lindsey's grad video; they were a little confused about why she was so small!

We were measuring how big Kenny and Addy's feet were, then we decided to see how the momma's compared! Yes, the strange things we do! :)

One of the reasons why our summer started off so well is because we got to spend a lot of time with these two:

I know... ADORABLE, CUTE, AAAWWWW are just some adjectives to describe them!
Garrett and Cade had planned a trip to Kauai so he could coach some boys during a baseball tourney. Kenny and I decided to join them at the very last minute, and are EXTREMELY glad we did! We had so much fun... doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Just hanging out and enjoying each others company was enough!

Uncle Darin and Cade building a firetruck and fixing Cade's squeaky car

Playing with Uncle in the front yard

Kenny hanging out with Aunty Erin and Tobi

The kids bought Levi his own Lightning McQueen car, so when he's older, he can burn rubbah on the tile and drift like they do!

There's a small pond behind their house, so we decided to fish it! The golf course run off goes into the pond, so probably not the safest to eat.

Kenny sneaking some of the bait! Yes... they wanted to feed the fish their goldfish crackers!

Uncle caught one!

He set the fastest tag and release time... barely got a pic! ha ha ha

This guy thought it was pretty cool! How's that precious face!

While on the trip, Cade started to feel a little under the weather. But, not that bad- he still had energy to play bocci ball with Uncle! (Tobi too!)

Do you see the two? Sippin' on their Jambas!

Garrett was able to sneak away from chaperoning and coaching to spend time with us too!

The kids also got to hang out at the small pool; surprised Kenny was interested in going in!

Our water boy jumping from Daddy!

So, despite this little bump of sickies to start our summer, I'm predicting it will be a pretty darn AWESOME and memorable one! Just wait to see what we have in store! :)

Busy weekends...

We got to spend a little bit of time with Darin, Erin, and baby Levi last weekend when they came to visit from Kauai. Tried to go stand-up boarding, but the wind picked up early. Instead, we just hung out at the beach.

"Nope, I didn't eat any sand!"

Here Uncle, try some too!

Kenny doesn't like the water much, so tries to run away from the waves!

The guys catching up... Darin and Garrett have been friends since elementary school, so whenever we get to see them, it's always a treat.  We love their company and wish we could see them more!

Yes, there's a child under there = Kenny hiding from the wind and sand. Not our beach baby!

This little guy LOVES the sand. He decided to bury himself... then all of a sudden JUMPED up and screamed, "I hear a crab!" Of course we were all laughing and didn't believe him... but, low and behold...

There WAS a crab!
Kendyll (who has to touch EVERYTHING, even when we tell her not to) tried to grab it.
Good thing it didn't pinch her!

May is also graduation season in Hawaii. Since we start school at the end of July/early August, we also finish early!

This year, we have three special graduates!

Our baby cousin, Lindsey, graduated from high school! When Garrett and I started dating, Linds was barely a year. It has been remarkable to watch her grow and mature- makes us feel sooooo old!

Our second special graduate is Courtney, Lindsey's oldest sister; she graduated from the University of Hawaii last weekend.
Here's Kenny being silly with all of them during graduation

Addy visiting from WA!

During graduation, I gave Addy some stickers. She put them all over! :)

Cade and Papa

Finally, our last very special graduate is our own Cade. He graduated from preschool today! Unlike last year's graduation, where he just sat and didn't sing; this year, he was very eager to perform!

Cade was SOOO excited to get all the leis. He had seen Lindsey with all her leis the night before and was so amazed by them. Today when he got all of his, he smiled and was so proud... until he realized how heavy and hot it is!

The amazing and loving teachers! Hope they're ready for Kenny next year! :)
