April updates and Oahu trip...

Cade discovered this old cleaning mop! Hmmmm...we wonder how long we can trick him into thinking cleaning is fun!

We spent Easter weekend on Oahu. We hadn't been to Great-Grandma and Grandpa's house since Christmas, but Cade remembered all the toys they had for him. He had fun playing blocks with Great-Grandma again!

While mommy shopped, Cade was treated to shave ice! Look at that rascal smile and hair!

Great-grandma's birthday lunch!

Garrett had two requests while we visited Oahu: take Cade to the zoo and Chuck E. Cheese's.
We ventured to the zoo first. It was Easter Sunday and a little rainy, so the zoo was empty! It was really nice that way. It was also cool to see Cade point at all the animals, reassuring us that he saw them. We hid out in the reptile house for a bit while the rain showers passed. During that time they brought out a small python from its cage for the visitors to see up close. For those who don't know, Garrett is TERRIFIED of snakes, so he refused to take Cade anywhere near it! Shucks, forgot to take a picture of scared daddy while mommy and Gammy took Cade to see it.

Cade loves fish! He wasn't too thrilled about the tunnel he had to crawl through to get to the middle of the fishtank, though.
Chuck E. Cheese was the next stop. Garrett will let Cade sit in the cars or other animal rides in the mall, but he never puts money in to make them move (it's expensive, sometimes $2!). So when the car started moving, it freaked Cade out!

It took Cade awhile to get used to playing games at Chuck E. Cheese's. I think daddy and mommy had more fun challenging each other on games! All the noise and lights were too distracting for Cade at first. Then he found the racing game. He didn't want Garrett to touch the wheel at all!

Happy Easter! We planned to dye eggs, but forgot and were so tired! Cade had fun hunting for the fake eggs.
