Hello and Goodbye July...

July has come and gone. It was a good month with lots of outings at the end. First, we celebrated Cade's 2nd birthday! Nothing big, just a special day of fun for him.

Can't believe he's two already! This was one of Cade's first pictures after he was born. (Sigh) We're treasuring all these times...cause boy how they fly by!

We started his birthday with a few new toys. A Cars tent and new Hot Wheels Cars and activity centers (thanks to Mikey for keeping it in mint condition for all these years!)

Then off to Cade's favorite place- the Maui Ocean Center. Of course, we had to top that off with shave ice!

We had a small tirimisu cake for him that night- sorry, pictures are on the video camera. Yes, tirimisu- he had his first taste of it when Aunty Joce and Uncle Les visited in June and LOVED it!

So, up til this point, Cade had been sung "Happy Birthday" twice- once at daycare and once at home. We thought this was all...nope. You'll see...

We headed to Oahu for a week. I went to go to a workshop and the kids and Gammy went to visit and play. They had lots of fun, but tired Gammy and Aunty Joce out.

Birthday cake #3! Ice cream cake with Great grandma, Great grandpa, Aunty Joce and Uncle Les. By this point, he fully understood that it was "his" birthday and enjoyed singing to himself "Happ Birtday to me!" He still needs help blowing out the candles- his air just blows his upper lip.

Gammy and Aunty Joce took the kids all over Oahu. They went to the Children's Discovery Museum. Cade LOVED it! He played and played and played. He was even scolded several times for not walking to all the toys.

The Honolulu Zoo was another of Cade and Kendyll's favorite stops. Of course, how could they resist giving him shave ice! Kenny was a good traveler- she hung out in the stroller and chewed on her hand.

Celebrating cousin Rysee's 5th birthday

Cade trying out his cousin Chaz's bike. I'm surprised he actually knew what to do!

Kenny hanging out with Aunty Lorraine and not crying! YAY!

Oh, that rascal smile

Finally, Cade's last birthday pie. Again, he loved being sung to but still had a hard time with the candles. Oh well, he'll be good at blowing it out by his next birthday.

School is officially starting again, so a blog update may take awhile. Kenny has spoiled and blessed us with sleeping through the night for up to 10 hours! (Fist pumps and high fives from Mommy and Daddy!) We're practicing our new morning routine with two little kids now! Wish us luck..

July 6th already!?

Wow, June came and went, and now my days of summer are dwindling down. School doesn't officially start for teachers until the end of July, but I need to start preparing and cleaning ahead of time. In the mean time, we're still enjoying being home (it's been a year already!)- the sunshine and family time are wonderful!

Cade sharing his toy with Great grandma Tamayo

Cade thought it was so fun when I put Sport in the wagon for him to pull around! Sport on the other hand didn't enjoy it as much and gives us this "get me out of here" look.

Ha Ha Ha! No caption needed. :) Before Kendyll was born I would put clips and bows in Cade's hair! Now, whenever Kendyll has a bow, Cade points to it and wants it in his hair! He then asked for one for Garrett. What a good daddy!

Kenny's new hat for the beach/sun

We've noticed Kenny is much more alert! She's practicing her tummy time and smiling. Her new milestone is sleeping through the night! Yep, 9ish to 6ish! Hey, not bad for a 10 week old!
