Garrett and I just got back from a trip to Vegas!
We took my grandparents and left the kids home with mom and Aunty Jocelyn. Grandpa and Grandma traveled to San Jose in July with us and realized it was still possible to travel even with my Grandpa using a walker and wheelchair. Luckily Garrett is able to lift and help my Grandpa, so I kept an eye on Grandma. For being 92, my Grandma can still walk fast!
My Grandpa LOVES his poker machine!
Grandma usually doesn't gamble much, but this time she did a little while she waited for Grandpa.
We also took them to play BINGO at the Plaza hotel. It was fun! You don't have to do anything because the computer does it for you! Ok- the only thing you have to do is yell "BINGO" if you win!
The only pic we took together in Vegas! We didn't sight see very much because we both had been there last year with friends and we knew this trip was just for Grandpa and Grandma. Although I did get a little shopping in! :)
This was Grandpa's favorite machine. Once he found it, he sat there every day and played it! Creature of habit; it's funny because when we came home, my mom knew exactly where the machine was too because every time he goes to Vegas, he looks for the same machine!
The moon was so nice and full one night I tried to take a pic, but it wasn't that great
Our home for four nights
We drove out to Primm outlets on the border of California and Nevada. The scenery wasn't that great- desert all the way!
Garrett's lunch one day= shave ice! Yep, while everyone else dined on saimin or curry, he had shave ice with fruits!
We played BINGO everyday we were there and Grandma won a $1000 jackpot! LUCKY!
Grandma trying out poker- she was tired of watching Grandpa and decided to give it a shot as well.
Garrett's Grandma Yoshie and his mom also joined us on the trip.
The grandparents had fun talking to each other in Japanese and kept us entertained!
We walked through an Asian (Korean) grocery store and my Grandma started laughing because she said in Japanese "kancho" means "to give enema"!
I wasn't as lucky at the slots= my biggest jackpot was $21. Shucks, next time! :)
Grandma Yoshie liked this Michael Jackson game because it played music. It was so cute- she was dancing!
We spent four nights away from the kids and we were all happy to be reunited. I think my Mom and Aunty J need a break now! :)
