Almost 2 weeks old!

Baby Cade is almost 2 weeks old and starting to follow a more consistant schedule of feeding every 2.5-3 hours. We even know his poop schedule!

A smile we finally captured! He does them too quickly!

Hanging out with Grandma Carol

Daddy and Uncle Kyle offered to watch Cade so Mommy and Grandma could go shopping. This is what happens when I'm home alone with them; Daddy trying to feed me a cookie already!

Were they really watching Cade or just playing games all day!?

Finally saw a snake on the walking trail again! Of course Daddy freaked out and ran away from it quickly!

All bundled up to go pick up Grandma Carol and it's the summer! Can you imagine what he'll look like in the winter! Thanks Uncle Chase, Aunty Sherie and the girls for the cute beenie and socks! Cade has to wear them now before he outgrows them!

More clothes from Uncle Chase, Aunty Sherie and the girls. The hat is a little too big for Cade right now!

Baby Cade

While baby sleeps, we have a little bit of time to update what we've been up to since we've been home. Even though it's only been 5 days since Cade was born, we have TONS of pics! Cade went to his first doctors appointment today, and Grandma even took pictures there of the doctors measuring him. He lost a bit of weight since birth, but gained a bit back; he's up to 7 lbs. 15 oz.

Picture of Cade's first sponge bath
Happy to just hang out in the bouncer
First walk to help mommy's recovery and to get some sun
My cell phone pose; gotta strengthen my arm so I can hold it up

Introducing...

Cade Lyle Tomio YamadaWe finally named our little peanut! Poor baby spent the first 2 1/2 days of his life as "Baby Yamada".

We are all home trying to adjust to our new schedules! Thank you to all of you for sending your thoughts, love, and prayers.

Here are some pics. Will update more when we have more time and energy. My mom has been a HUGE help during the day, but when we spent Thursday and Friday nights at the hospital, we barely slept. Probably got a total of 6 hours since Wednesday. The c-section has really limited my movement, but we're all managing.

Garrett getting ready for the OR. Now he's a "real" dr!

Okidoki...more to come! We promise! If you don't get calls or emails back as quickly, it's cause we're all catching up on sleep! Mommy and Daddy had to reread this blog plenty times cause had so many typos!

"Baby Yamada" is finally hea!

After long hours of labor that involved magnitudes of encouragment, motivation, pushing, and clenching her teeth, Lynn was finally able to deliver "Baby" to the world by...C-section at 5:37 a.m. on the 17th of July, 2008. He weighs in at 8 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 and 3/4 inches long. Here is a camera phone picture to get the photo album started. More to come once we get settled in. Oh yeah. We still workin on the name but no worry beef curry we neva go college for nottin.

Patience...

Yah! 38+ weeks now and still patiently waiting for baby to arrive. In the mean time I've been spending my days at home "nesting".

A couple of weeks ago we took some pictures with my co-worker at a lake in Federal Way. Sporty went with us and enjoyed being free and wandered around. He even ventured off and decided he wanted to see how cold the lake water was. Here are just some of our photos; we're glad we decided to take these pictures because the 9 months flew by! As we look back at other pictures we've taken, we didn't really have many that focused on my belly.

More visitors!

We had more visitors this weekend! The Miyamoto family stopped off in Seattle after their Alaska cruise! Unfortunately, we only were able to spend the day shopping with them before they flew back to Maui, but we still had a lot of fun catching up! Hard to believe it was a year ago they visited us for several weeks! Time flies!
This picture of the Yamada cousins took at least 8 tries (Marina kept saying something was wrong with Chester! Poor thing! He was either slouching, blocking me with his big head, or had a funny piece of hair sticking out). I hope this is the one she liked! We had a ridiculous heat wave come through the area; temps in the 80's and 90's since Friday! AGH! This is what happens to your feet when you're pregnant during the hot weather! I didn't even do a lot of walking. Don't worry, doctor looked at them and said they were fine! Don't they look gross! When we went shopping with the Miyamoto family, I tried on shoes and was discouraged...my feet looked terrible in all the shoes I tried on! All the fat would bulge out. Garrett is happy that I haven't been able to add to my shoe collection since I've been pregnant. :(
Lastly, my favorite pillow to sleep with is a Boppy baby pillow that Joy gave me. However, Sport takes every opportunity to steal it from me when I get out of bed to use the bathroom. He fits perfectly in the middle!

Because of the hot weather we've been having, I'm experiencing more contractions. I'm officially full term (37 weeks) and baby is developed enough to arrive any day now! I'm 2 cm dilated and 70% effaced (thinned out). But, doctor doesn't think he'll be early...we'll see.

The Waiting Game...

Baby Yamada will officially be full term (37 weeks) tomorrow, so now it's just a matter of when he decides it's time.
Garrett's Uncle Glenn came to visit for the week. We took him shopping and to the casino. The superstition about pregnant women having good luck only worked for Garrett and Kyle. Sorry Uncle Glenn- gotta rub the tummy more next time!
We are finally done with the baby nursery. Just had to clean and put up some shelves. Garrett is practicing rocking Sporty.
No more Transformers can fit on the shelf! Oh darn...I guess Garrett can't buy more!
I was lucky to have 3 birthday lunches/dinners. A dinner on my actual birthday with the boys, a lunch with Garrett the day after, and a BBQ with friends on the weekend. Garrett says I'm spoiled, I say I'm just loved. :)
