Annual family visit...

This is the 2nd year our family has made a trip to visit us in WA. The only way this is possible is because of the new year round scheduling of HI schools. We are glad they are so enthusiastic about visiting us in the cold weather!

Our week of visitors began last Saturday. Our good friend, Matt, called and said he was in town for the day to get a new tattoo! Garrett claims he told me about Matt's visit a few months ago, but it was still a pleasant surprise! Cade got to meet his Uncle Matt and we all enjoyed catching up with him, especially asking him lots of questions about his work and why he looks like an Asian terrorist! :)

Aunty Marina, Cade and Thomas. We picked up Thomas, walked around the mall, ate sushi (in partial darkness because the power went out) then dropped off Matt at the airport.

We told my cousin, Thomas, that he better carry Cade and take pictures before the rest of the family came in. Good thing because Cade was carried by either Grandma or Grandaunty the entire time! :)

Cade meeting everyone at the airport.

We spent a few hours at the Issaquah Salmon Festival on Sunday. It's so amazing to watch the salmon 'run' up the stream!

Picture with Grandpa Dean. Cade doesn't look too thrilled!

Every evening my grandparents would talk to Cade and ask him how his day was. It was really cute to see and hear him babble in response to them!

Grandpa loved playing and teasing Sport. Look where his green doggy is!

Even though it has been a little over 2 months since my mom saw Cade, he remembered her. This picture sums up how he spent his week! Always being carried and loved by someone. He looks so uncomfortable, but he's fast asleep in grandma's arms.

Enjoying looking over Grandaunty Jocelyn's shoulder!

Smiling and giggling with Uncle Neal and Granduncle Leslie

Grandpa Dean doesn't have the greatest track record with babies liking him. I guess his own grandson is no exception!

We were out and about all week long. Cade was GREAT! He was either sleeping like this...

or happy and smiling! He has started to suck on his fingers more to help soothe himself. Will he be a thumb sucker like his Aunty Lisa or a middle and ring finger sucker like mommy? :)

It is going to be hard to adjust back to our old routine once everyone leaves. We were extremely blessed with being able to sleep through the night this entire week! My mom woke and fed Cade in the middle of the nights and Garrett and I didn't hear a peep! We ate very well, had meals ready for us when we got home from work this week and always had a great lunch packed for us! Can't wait to see everyone again at Christmas!
