The summer came... and went...

I'm letting out a very loud grunt and sigh as I write this. How can the summer just pass through like the wind? Maybe it's because we had an amazing summer, that it's so hard to face the reality that it has ended...

It was such a fun and busy summer, that I really didn't update the blog. Nope... not once. :)

Let's catch up a little in May:

Cade's first May Day performance. For all you mainlanders reading this and wondering, "what the heck May Day is and why is it so important?"

My explanation: it's a cultural event. All the grade levels perform a song or two and celebrate the mixed culture of Hawaii. Garrett and I planned ahead so we wouldn't miss Cade's dance. We also got to have lunch with him.

Celebrating the end of Kenny's school year at graduation. Don't panic- she still has one more year of preschool! Yikes!

Cade's last day of Kindergarten! OMG!

So the summer was amazing...

LOTS of beach time!

An impromptu dinner picnic

More weekday beach time

Amazing 4th of July sunset

Then a quick Las Vegas get away... just the two of us!

Garrett has Gold status, so we were upgraded to the seats right behind first class. So much legroom! We also bumped into friend from Pacific who was our flight attendant!
Here's the first day of LV pics... I'll update more soon!

We had fun spoiling our niece!

Easter, a birthday, and Mother's day...

Ooops, I thought I had published this post in May. Sorry! I'm surprised Aunty Lisa hasn't grumbled about the neglect this blog is receiving. I guess it's because she's too busy...planning a wedding. Geez... :)

 Easter bunnies!

Easter tradition at our house... more babies this year!

Happy 4th Birthday to our baby Kendyll! She's not a baby anymore!
For her birthday, she chose to have a day out with mommy and daddy...

Maui Ocean Center was our first stop

Then purple (blueberry), orange (passion orange), and red (strawberry) shave ice, with mochi balls!

Lunch at Genki sushi

Then she wanted to play at Fun Factory. Luck for your birthday!

Cade and Gammy decorated a cake for her. Sweet birthday kiss!

Happy 4th Birthday Kendyll! She said she felt like a princess all day!

For Mother's day, we stayed at our favorite hotel for the night!

Cade really wanted to play Garrett ping pong!

Thank you for a relaxing Mother's Day!

Cade's baseball season is over! He played his cousin, Chaz's, team at the beginning of the season.

2014 catch up...

Aiya... Spring Break flew by; on my to-do list was catch up with the blog. Sorry, didn't happen!

Cade lost his first tooth in January, then his second tooth in February

Kenny had a good check up! She braved the seat by herself this time!

Cade celebrated his 100 days of school with his cool project (I think Mommy was prouder of it than he was! Took us a few hours to complete!)

We've had a very wet winter, so Cade's t-ball season was short

Kenny wanted to put makeup on for Girl's Day pictures. This is Gammy's kimono from when she was a little girl!

Cade celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday at school, so Gammy made him his own Cat in the Hat shirt. He only wore it til recess...

Spring Break was spent doing some of this on a random weekday...at 3 in the afternoon...

Some random adventuring...

...so that they wouldn't spend their entire day doing this...

...mostly to avoid this that was happening outside!

...so we made sure to get in more sun, laughs, and good times with family! Cousin time is always fun!

Spring Break was a success!
