Tuesday, December 17. We had a long day planned- Animal Kingdom in the day, then Magic Kingdom at night.
When we were paying for parking, we were handed a special "Magical Moment" pass to get free VIP parking! WHAT!? It was so close, we walked right up to the gate and didn't have to hop on the tram! WHOO HOO!!!
Gammy wanted us to recreate a pic we took with Cade in 2009
Each of the parks has a gigantic Christmas tree!
Dino Rama was our first stop of the morning
Garrett, Lisa, and I rode this small roller coaster that ended up being really fun!
We showed Cade pictures of him riding the Triceratops ride as a baby, so he decided to try again. Oh boy... he loved it. He rode it a total of about 6-7 times that day!
The Dinosaur ride is similar to Indian Jones at Disneyland: you ride a truck and it bumps you around.
Kenny said the ride was "AWESOME"; we were worried she'd be scared. As you can see in the photo: she had her eyes closed most of the time, and was holding on for dear life!!
The Safari ride was one we wanted to go on so the kids could see all sorts of animals.
I won't bore you with too many animal pics- here are some favorites.
Hungry Hippos
Giraffes
The rhinos got REALLY close to the truck! You can see the edge of the truck in the first photo. Luckily, they weren't interested in the people!
The infamous Tree of Life
Hanging out while waiting for lunch
We had Fast Passes for the Everest roller coaster, but since the kids were to short to ride, Gammy took them to a play area back in the Dinosaur land.
The anticipation of the uphill climb!
As you can see, Lisa and I screamed on the roller coaster again! Garrett said he needs to get ear plugs! We walked off and right back on since we had another set of Fast Passes. Two times in 10 min was an adrenaline rush!
The slide Gammy had to come down as she chased the two through the play area! Ha ha ha!
She let them put their heads in a dinosaur mouth!
We weren't planning to ride the Kali River Rapids. But, as it warmed up a bit that day and we were heading out of the park, we noticed a very short line. Needless to say, of course it was short because people were smart!
Some of us were NOT HAPPY after the ride! Good thing I had extra clothes for the kids. Cade complained that his undies were wet too!
Ice cream helped to make everyone happy again, and gave us time to dry off!
Spoiled little princess! Daddy bought her two souvenirs, which she absolutely adores!
We headed back to the hotel to rest, since we were going to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at night.
